The Church is in the center of the City of Nazareth. Tradition holds that in the lower level of the Church is the cave grotto thought to be the home of Mary.

These ruins are of the original village of Nazareth and can be found under the Church of the Annunciation.

Luke 4:28-30  When they heard these things, all in the synagogue were filled with wrath. And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff. But passing through their midst, he went away.

The place where Gideon and 300 men defeated the Midianites. At the base of the hill on the northern side is the town of Nain. It is here that Jesus raised a widow’s son. Luke 7:11.  Located on the southern side is the town of Shunem, the town where Elisha raised up the son of a wealthy woman. 2 Kings 4:8

Those who rejected Christ attempted to throw Him off a cliff close to the town,. Today, this place is called Mount Precipice.

The Jezreel Valley is a large fertile plain south of the Lower Galilee region.

The Grotto of the Annunciation. This is believed to be the home of Mary, where the angel Gabriel was sent to announce that Mary would be the other of the Messiah.
